Nashville Predators captain Roman Josi is sidelined week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
Josi, 35, has five points (one goal, four assists) and a minus-4 rating in eight games this season.
Per the team, the veteran defenseman’s injury is not related to the postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) with which he was diagnosed during his recovery from a concussion last season.
The Norris Trophy recipient in 2020 as the NHL’s top defenseman, Josi has totaled 729 points (191 goals, 538 assists) and a plus-55 rating in 970 career games with the Predators. He was selected by Nashville in the second round of the 2008 NHL Draft.
